So so good

Really good, but by choosing random keys this program tends to become confusing and misses a simple opportunity. Like the vast majority of music heads, without perfect pitch, I know I will (most likely) never have perfect pitch. If the exercises could be re-jigged to use middle C as the root I personally feel that this program would be at a level to achieve its primary objectives but in a context which would go further in fulfilling the aspirations and learning desires of those of use drawn to committing to spend good money to go further.

Just awesome. Provides the ear training that I have been seeking. I absolutely recommend this app.

So much fun! I've been playing guitar for a couple years, although without much "serious" music background. This is filling in some big gaps for me. It's fun though -- feels more like a quiz show. It would be better if the sound was more "natural". I have some difficulty relating the pure tones to the sounds I hear out of the instrument -- for example, fifths in this app sound slightly sour to me, and I can't figure out why. I think it might be that a guitar generates harmonic overtones I have learned to relate to better than these more pure ones. Still, it seems to be changing my ability to play for the better! I'd also like to try other formats -- for example, play one interval and choose between options for what it was.

My only real complaint is that the interval comparisons aren't very useful, since they all have a common note. if you can hear the direction of change in the changed note, it's not too hard to tell whether the interval got larger or smaller. It's just too easy if it's a binary decision (larger smaller) rather than actual identification of the interval. To the developer - could you specify in your description (of either the free or the paid version) the differences or added features in the paid version? I was trying to figure out whether to purchase, and whether it tests the user's ear in more challenging ways. Thanks!
