Dunn Brothers Coffee

UPDATE: after going into Privacy>Location Services and updating the Dunn Bros app’s location settings, the Order screen no longer freezes up. Now everything is working great and I can order as normal. ——————————————— For the past year, when I click the Order button, the screen stays stuck on Loading and never brings me to the order screen. So I can’t order anything. I have tried deleting & reinstalling the app and updating to the latest version of iOS. Nothing seems to work.

Coffee is tasty for sure. Does taste like the beans are freshly roasted and ground. Always hot. This time cup was quite sticky. No explanation, no attempt to clean it up. $5/drink requires some level of decency. No eye contact, no thank you. Evidently they do good business and don’t care if I come back b/c they don’t need my money. There are other options where I’m treated much better. The app works well, but unfortunately I have to go to one of the stores to use it. Don’t go for the service (too lackluster) but the coffee and reward system are great. Mixed feelings.

This is a decent, working app that has been forgotten by history. It is not optimized for most iPhone screens, which means that everything looks big and typing is hard. The "menu" page returns a 404. The app asks for your location at *all* times, even though it could request having your location only while you are using the app. And it does not work with Wallet, so it is not convenient. Wallet/Passbook came out in 2012! The only conclusion as to why the app does not work on Wallet is that Dunn Bros has made a "calculated misery" decision to reduce convenience in favor of forcing you to use the app itself.

There needs to be an easier way to recover your password. I haven't been able to get into my account in months and I keep being told to email them about the problem and then I do and I get an email that they are out of town? Seriously? Why is this so complicated? I can't even fix the problem on their website either. It's annoying. This is the only store in my school and I love it but stuff like this makes me want to go elsewhere.

The app makes it super easy to pay. I love that it’s tied to a credit card rather than a reloadable gift card and any rewards are automatically applied, unlike some other coffee apps. However, the Order function doesn’t work. The closest I’ve come is to get it to say “loading.” My colleagues and I work from Dunn Bros one morning a week and none of us can get the Order or Shops functions to work. I would love to be able to see shops near me when I’m traveling but have to resort to Google to find out.
