Dog Assistant - Potty Training

What I love about this app is the ability to have multiple dogs and that it will update automatically with co-owners. Couldn’t find any other apps that did this! Could use some slight improvement in the UI, for example it would be nice to have the dog’s name at the top of the log so I know which dog I’m adding an activity to without having to click on the settings icon to check. And would be great if there were fewer steps to switch between dogs.

I wanted to love this app. Our dog has a lot of medical issues, so we needed something to easily track things like medication, when she eats, when she poops, training, etc. This seemed perfect! But as we started to use it, we noticed problems that make it more of a hassle than just keeping a log with a normal log app: 1) you should be able to mark something as complete when you get the alert for it and have it automatically logged, rather than having to then open the app and log it separately. 2) similarly, it would be nice to be able to click a button on an event in our dogs schedule and automatically log that as complete 3) the ability to save custom events for repeated use would be very useful. For example, our dog is on 4 or 5 medications depending on the day, it would be helpful to be able to check off each one and see them by name in the log, rather than the generic “medication”. 4) is there any way to export this data and/or look at it over a longer period of time? That would also be very helpful for communicating with our vets.

I like that this app can track all of my data for my new rescue puppy. My suggestion would be to provide a graph view by week, month, etc. so that I can see overall trends since I’ve start tracking my puppy’s activities. I would also like to suggest that the app use the data to make predictions for my puppy’s potty and sleep schedule based on the data trends. For 3.99 I feel like the app needs to be a bit more intelligent with the data that we input instead of just acting as a shared tracking log. *UPDATE: I’ve already paid for this app, why would I go pay for another version of this app with the features that I requested be put into this original app?

This app would make a great tool for tracking and learning your dog’s habits IF it showed me an “average” time for each event. The functionality works well, but the whole point of tracking is to catch a pattern. I would have to go back day by day and check each and every time to catch a pattern. For $4 this app should be able to learn the patterns and show me the average time for each event. For example, if my dog pees at 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM two days in a row, then the app should tell me that his “average” pee time is 8:15 AM. For $4 I expected more...

I just adopted a puppy, and have been looking for an app just like this one to keep a record of my new pup’s schedule. It’s great, so far, but there are a couple of things that I realized could make record-keeping a little easier. I think a duration option for walks, sleep, and crate time would be helpful. Also, a measurement option for the food (cups, ounces, etc), would also help especially when more than one person in the household may be responsible for walks, feeding, and crate time.
