The app was designed to be super friendly and thought but but Not. You get a QR code to scan with the app. The app asks you to grant access for your location, notification and etc, assuming the app will notify you to come back just in time for your table but No. All the app tells you is exactly what it says on the waiting slip with your number on it, "you are number 123 and the estimated wait time is 35 minutes." This message never changes with your location or time/ numbers go by. It notifies you to come back 20 minutes/ 10 tables earlier than your number. Really. All we need was the same numbers/ turn showing on the clipboard at the restaurant.

Developers fixed the app. You can see the estimated wait time at each restaurant location. It also shows you the number being served. It also will give you a courtesy notice to begin returning to the restaurant, and will also notify you when it’s your turn to be seated in the queue. Bring on the xiaolongbao!
