Design Home™: House Makeover

It was simple to update to new versions since I’ve started using the app. But now I’ve given up because I just keep in bouncing back & forth. I click ok it takes me to the App Store when I click open I just get directed to the same instruction to “update.” Tedious I cant be bothered now. Great app. I’m able to share my views on Home Designs. I just wish the spaces of the homes could be larger and more open. Big spaces for bigger imagination! When Im waiting for an upload or download of whatever project I’m working on l. Home Designs offers me a way to take a break and I also love rating other designers Designs! Inspirational! Control is all in the mind just like all things in life. I never let anything take over me. This is my first game on the net and it makes sense to me as a Photography Colourist. And I have a passion for interior design and would love to see myself doing it as a business so I hope my work will be recognised and offer me an opportunity to do it for real. Thanks to the app developer(s) and the furniture designers.

This app grossly misleads the user. It’s amazing how the app does not make it clear before hand that you don’t ‘buy’ the virtual furniture but you borrow them for a few times using the virtual & actual money you spend. It is also ridiculous how the user is subject to: -The advertisement of certain products (for which advertisement the app itself gets compensated by the product companies no doubt I should think) -The adds that the user may chose to watch in order to get diamonds ( for which the app again I should think makes a profit from) . Noting that the same adds are valued differently depending on what agreement the app has made with the company advertised. It’s fine if you are a company advertising your product on the app but not so fine if you are playing the game & subject to this discrepancy. Not to mention that claiming your free rewards could take much longer than the time available to find sth a challenge as well as being subject to a more often than not malfunctioning system. - The fact that your money buy diamonds but your diamonds can only BORROW staff not buy- & for this reason I feel that the makers of this app grossly mislead the user. When I first started using the app I found it a great idea & was willing to purchase diamonds & bundles but after playing for a bit I realized what the app rules are (including the claiming rewards procedure) & I decided that I would rather look around for other alternatives than engage.

I normally don't play app or video games but realised with this one I have found something I can switch my mind off after a stressful day at work. For this particular reason, I didn't mind spending 35 £ in total on some nice inventory which has helped me to participate in more contests and also level up. I have realised the inventory you purchase can only be used 5x which is a joke as there are so many contests and obviously you would want to use your nicest furniture again and again (that should be your right as you paid for it). But no, they think it's ok to steal it from your inventory after using it 5x. This applies to ALL inventories including reward items. Nice game but as previews reviewers have mentioned, it is meant to make you fail, a lot of server issues and I don't like to spend money on something that makes me feel like I am getting ripped off. I am reporting this to iTunes and hope to get my money back as at the time of purchase there is no mention whether you will own the inventory forever or lose it at some point. I would have never spend money on something that I wouldn't experience or physically own. Just saw it as a way of relaxing and thought some people spend money on console games and I spend it here but hey I would have never spend it on these thieves if they had made me aware I would lose my inventory. Such an unethical company. Stay away!

Absolutely love playing this. However, it's irritating when you buy something and can only use it 5 times before it's taken from your "owned" section. Also the only way to win items is if you spend real money buying the necessary items to complete challenges. Another problem is when you stick to the brief i.e. "Industrial" then you see the winners who have used the tried & tested boring black & white modern designs that aren't remotely industrial it gets disheartening. Same people seem to win constantly but they're the ones throwing shedloads of money at the game. Also if people judged fairly it would be nice. I try to be honest in choosing designs I think are good and have stuck to the brief. Do others do this? Don’t think so. I’ve seen designs with mismatched items not relevant to the brief (usually when you start out your inventory is so sparse you use anything to win money on the daily challenge) with really high scores. Makes me think people do this to stop the really good designs from winning. Also the game owner keeps bringing out new bundles that I can’t afford so my designs again get marked down.

I’ve complained numerous times now, to get useless replies, obv not interested in sorting out their problem. I use my own money (not pretend) to buy coins & diamonds to purchase items to use, for purchasing on their game, you get a score. I’ve showed them the room I finished ages ago now, also all the items I used, from snapshot I took of what gets shown underneath your room, saying clearly items I used! I’ve been fobbed off repeatedly, & now they said that was a tutorial for new users, those items are not available in inventory. Absolute lie! I took snapshots of all those items, still available in inventory to purchase now. They aren’t in my inventory as I used them on that design, to get nothing! They will not refund me for the items, they say not being scored still is a glitch they will look into, they’ve said that for the last 5 or 6 messages now, taking two days to answer each of my messages. They are happy to take your money, this company makes millions, yet they are blatantly not interested in their customers, telling lies to not pay my money back or compensate in coins & diamonds. I will find out how to take this further as it is theft in my opinion, I haven’t got what I paid for, so I must have consumer rights
