Crux: A Climbing Game

This game is super fun! At first I thought this game was too easy, but it picked up pass pretty quick and the levels gradually increased in difficulty(but the fun kind :D). Plus coupled with the make your own level bit you can create some pretty fun challenges of your own! I hope we can eventually get jumping moves in the future. But definitely try the game it’s a blast!

Conceptually quite simple - it takes one level to understand how the game works - but it can get quite tricky to do each level perfectly. Just like real climbing, you need to read your route before you climb for best results. One suggestion to the developer: it would be great if it were possible to input the next move slightly before the current move finishes its animation. As it is, I’m spamming swipes to make sure I’m not hanging on the holds too long and it feels a bit frantic. I think it would be a nice quality of life change that would not affect the difficulty. Thanks for a fun game for my commute! P.S. I love that it’s a female climber :)

I really like this game. I think it is challenging both mentally and nimbly. I got sore playing it and I never climbed one course. 💁🏼‍♂️ I think there is no game quite like it now. It is hard but in a good way. I admire that girl.

Love it. Just like solving a boulder problem, trying to work out the proper moves, then execute them quickly enough!

Cool game. Movement is limited but it is surprisingly good approximation of planning and mentally working out climbing beta
