Cracker Barrel

This app was very simple to operate. Everything was easy to find and I was able to place my order quickly and without issue. Options are displayed with pictures for reference. The only thing I would change is to add some sort of “additional requests” area where you may ask for certain jams, sauces, silverware, etc. I was not able to find an option for changing the sawmill gravy to brown gravy on my meal or any selection of sauces and had to call to add them. Everything else was perfect!

Today I used the app to check my party in for lunch. It’s Sunday so you can imagine the wait had we just driven directly over. From home I put my name on the waitlist. The wait was 25min. We arrived about 15min later. When I checked in, the people ahead of me were told that the waitlist was (still) at 25min. We waited for less than 5min and our name was called! It was a great experience and I will definitely use it again. By the way....we had a great hostess who explained the specials very thoroughly. Our waitress, a one star employee was superb. I asked a question which she was not sure of. She immediately went to the manager and got my answer. She checked on us often and served us a very good, hot meal.

Although Cracker Barrel’s app is new and still has some adjustments that can be made. Their new menu layout is stunning and easy to use. While the wait-list feature can use some work. If you enter yourself in the system it will hold your spot in line and upon check-in you’ll be placed in whatever spot you should be in based of the waits of other guests. Like I said it’s not a perfect system but for this amazing company to be making such quick strides in technology as well as efficiency in mobile ordering and in house. I give them 5 stars for effort and 4 stars for execution. I will never stop being a raving fan of this great company. Can’t wait to see what’s next Cracker Barrel!!!

I’m a big Cracker Barrel fan. But the other week I went in the store on a Sunday morning to complain to the manager about a phone conversation. This man is the Self Proclaimed General Mngr for this location. Tells me there’s never been call ahead seething. And the website that one uses doesn’t work on Sunday. After asking for upper Mngmt info; that’s when he comes out with whom he is. By now I’ve got a lot of employees staring at me; and quite a few customers. I then ask him for his number for a better time to contact him. Then he proceeds to leave again to go get me his card. Why didn’t he bring it in the first place. I asked the lady behind the counter, as two others just sneered my way. Maybe upper Management will see this and actually give this man his Training Moment. Since obviously I couldn’t.......

Used the app for the first time but it will probably be the last. For my location it said 5-10 min wait. On my way there, we clicked to add our names to the list. We get there, girl at front has our name and says “10 minutes.” Ok. Wait 15 mins, hear a bunch of others being called but not us. I check with the girl up front. She says we are next and shows on her screen the table we will get. We keep waiting. Finally went up to the other host who calls out names. She looks it up and says “10 minutes.” Huh?? That makes over 30 minutes. 10 on the app, 10 when we get there, 10 more after we check. They don’t have their act together. Does the waitlist app actually work at all?? Aggravating.
