Don't take our word for it though, with Coves 3 levels of communication (text message > voice message > video message) you can safely screen your matches yourself. Hi Willeffects! Thanks for taking the time to send us your review. We've incorporated loyalty perks to help motivate conversation. And it works! We hear of plenty of examples where making it through Cove with someone provides a safe base for more meaningful communication and leads to better first dates since you are able to mutually screen each other without sharing phone numbers. Also, women do NOT earn money. Perks are nominal amounts that are simply a thank you for using the app. The alternative to not having perks is fewer conversations and more time wasted swiping, matching, and sitting idle in conversations that don't progress. That all being said, the next version of the app will incorporate perks for men as well, so it is not just women who are motivated to explore deeper conversation. We respectfully disagree with your comment about Cove being a scam, we have too much proof of deeper conversations and relationships blossoming for that to be the case. Many people are uncomfortable sharing their phone number or meeting someone in person without somehow "screening" them first. So, what happens? On most dating apps, conversation doesn't happen. That's why we've implemented loyalty perks for general activity. These are nominal amounts that are simply a token thank you for using the app, to make sure there's a base of comfort and compatibility with the other person, and to make sure that the other person isn't misrepresenting his or her profile. The alternative and end result of not having a loyalty program is fewer conversations and more time wasted swiping, matching, and sitting idle in conversations that don't progress. We've had many success stories of couples who met on Cove, so the method definitely works. That being said, we'll be releasing some exciting updates soon. One of which will alleviate your aforementioned concern, while still maintaining an engaging and fun dating experience, allowing matches to explore conversation and uncover chemistry before deciding to meet in person.
