City Club

I was in Cardiff for a work trip with my colleague yesterday and we stopped for a bite to eat at The Pontcanna Inn. Even though we were on the late side for lunch ( we arrived there at about 2.30pm) there were lots of options on the menu and the food we needed up ordering ( Mac and cheese with leeks and mushrooms, chicken burger with Aioli and slaw, garlic bread, sweet potato fries) was absolutely delicious. The service was great, and the bar staff were lovely, friendly, and charming. On top of this, I had 2000 reward points from the app so the combined bill for both of us, including a cider and a beer, came to £5! We were delighted with our lunch in every way. I used to like this app, I used to show my membership number and collect my points, easy. Now with the new update you can only collect points when purchasing via the app. So what happens when you’re out with a group of mates? Do you treat them all to get your points or just collect points from your purchase? Gone are the days when they buy their own drinks/food/round and you say “hang on, I’ll have those points”. Shame really as drinks aren’t particularly cheap so what’s the incentive now?

Love the app. But come on guys make it easy for us to see last nights spend breakdown please! Great for when the tab or table is open, but once the tab/table is closed (ie next day) there’s no way of seeing how many points were accrued and what was spent. At the moment I’m not sure if my spend last night actually added Amy rewards? No way of checking.

Ok experience, points seem to work and if you have an issue they can usually amend any points that did not get added for some reason. But- I have 6 notification on the app.. and no way to see where they are or what they mean once I actually go into the app. Devs- what do they mean??!

I had accrued a reasonable amount of rewards that have just disappeared when I tried to log back in but was told my account didn’t exist. I tried all combinations of my email address and password recovery, including the email address I receive promotion emails to but to no avail. When I tried to contact the developer for support the website doesn’t provide this feature. A great app when it works but awful when it doesn’t
