Cineworld Cinemas

I'm clearly in the minority here but, to me, this app is an improvement. It's not perfect and I can see why people are annoyed that you can't see the film poster or information when you view showings on a particular day but it doesn't bother me so much as I tend to know about the movies already and it's actually easy to pop back into the information page. Having said this, I do think it would be improved by still having a direct link to this for each film on the booking page. You can also book by selecting a film directly from any page where it does have the information so it's not so bad - it's only when going into 'book by date' at a particular location that it's not there. The old app gave me an incorrect connection error message every single time I booked without fail. This is now fixed. Hooray! I had no problems booking - quick and easy. Someone said you can't choose your seating directly within the app - this is untrue - you've been able to do so for a long time. I like the layout with the large posters - it's bright and clear and striking. In conclusion, I really don't think it deserves the barrage of completely negative reviews. I would mark it down as an improvement without hesitation.

Given that this is supposed to be an update you would think it goes without saying that it would be an improvement on the old app. In this instance this isn't the case. The old app was great and did exactly what you wanted it to. You'd choose the cinema you wanted to visit and instantly you could see movie listings and times. You could read the synopsis and watch trailers. Now you just get a completely uninformative screen of movie titles with no other information. I want to choose the cinema, choose the date and have all the information in front of me. You need a degree in archeology to find your way around this app but unlike most archeological digs, you're usually disappointed when you're done. You have to click on each title separately to access the information. Why would you release an update and go backwards? Why would you remove the ability to watch the trailers and what is the point of the unlimited tab. This app is about as good at managing your Unlimited account as chocolate is at being a baking tray. Clearly no thought has been put into the design. The aesthetics may have improved but the functionality has really suffered. The reason I have given this a 1 star rating is because the option to select 0 stars is not available.

Let’s say 0 starts is more accurate, Cineworld you should be ashamed at providing that KaK app, the person responsible for these updated should be sacked no doubt someone who is paid a lot of money to oversee this crap. I used this app with no problems whatsoever for a long period of time a few year back it work perfect every time. Then some supposed tech savvy person assayed & issues ever since. Constant logging in with email & password EVERY time. Things don’t show, things disappear, can’t even book seats at time a whole catalogue off issues. I’m still logging in continually so update not worked. U take our money off us every month for Cineworld card, make shed loads of money as a company & in this day in age can’t even give us the decent perfectly working app back that we once had. Seriously what is up with the people responsible for this, it is so time consuming trying to use this app & web. Cineworld you should be ashamed of yourselves. Get yourself some new app staff that actually want to give us costumers the best app experience we can have especially when that’s what we had a few years back when I first started using it. Unappreciated & unhappy costumer ....... if any Cineworld person cares to notice.

The website is bad enough, difficult to navigate for the simplest task-finding what's on and booking it. This new app is totally pointless. It's astonishing that the old version, which worked perfectly well was abandoned for this! Most people do not come to the app fully armed with information about what each and every film is, so we need trailers, posters and not to be left chasing even the most basic information as to who the actors are! You choose your location, then you choose your day, then you get titles and, well that's it. If you do go to the trouble of navigating back to the home page to look up the film information, (often to find that the trailers are missing) then you have to go through the process of choosing your location and date again. Heaven forbid you want to look up more than one film or compare times...After 10 minutes of back-and-forth, including needing pen and paper to record the information I couldn't get in one place, I abandoned it and I'm going to the Odeon tomorrow instead. Based on the number of negative reviews here, I can only hope the developers are listening or they are going to lose customers.

Clumsiest most difficult website I use. Always sends me round in circles. Hate it Never remembers my local cinema; often gets my location wrong. Click on a date to show films showing on the day for which you want to buy tickets then click the more information button, decide you like what you've read and do want to see that film then click to buy tickets. This route then issues tickets for that day's date, not the date you chose before reading the info. Now I've been stung by that illogicality, I'm wary but then have to re-choose my local cinema, find chosen film again then get the date I'd already picked. Finally, why when you ask to change your password do lots of sites demand your email address again, when you've already typed it in at forgotten password fail, then send you an email, you click through, amend the password, go to log on again and get asked for the email address AGAIN. And I do find it irritating that cinemas list what's on for only a week as it makes diary planning, getting pals organised a nightmare. I've missed loads of things because something disappears from the schedule.
