Chinese Audio Course

I've found Serge's lessons really helpful on the journey to understanding conversational Mandarin. It includes both the traditional and simplified written forms, as well as differences between China and Taiwan (one of the reasons I picked this one over others.) There are some usability issues that I'd love to see updated, like being able to return to and control the audio tracks, but overall I recommend this app.

I paid for a lifetime membership but all lessons have been unaccessible. I am starting to wonder if this is a fly-by-night scam. Updated: Got a prompt reply in mail with instructions on the new login process. Rating raised to reflect this timely response. Will raise it further if process is functional.

First I gotta say the class is awesome. After trying some of his 30 lessons that are free on his website I signed up for a whole year. This class WILL help! App design is rather poor. Scrolling to lesson 100 for example takes a lot of time it should be grouped into sections or folders. Also the worst part is not being able to delete your completed courses without deleting the whole app when you want to clear your phone space. Keep in mind people, this is only a companion app, there are no free courses on it. Go to the website on your phones browser and try for free....30 lessons will keep you very busy. I think if he invested his money on the app and allow for free lessons directly on it to get people started and allow greater in app purchase options he can be awarded more capital for his nice work with the course content. App should only get 2 stars but the course is one of my favorites and well worth the subscription.

Serge Melnyk is the most fantastic teacher ever. When I decided to finally go to China I knew I would need a few words and phrases. I found Serge Melnyk Mandarin Chinese lessons on iTunes, studied his lessons and in no time I could speak and understand Mandarin. The more I studied the better my mandarin became, I have been visiting China every year since. Because of my Serge Melnyk Mandarin lessons I was able to navigate China and to make friends during my very first trip. My friends and I continue to keep in touch and make vacation plans when I back am in the US. Having this App will change your life. Having Serge as your teacher is the best decision you can make.

I studied Mandarin for 5 years on and off, traveled to China many times throughout my life, but I was never able to find a quality course to help me refresh my Chinese skills. With Melnyks Chinese course, I’m now able to actively review and refresh my knowledge of Mandarin. Thank you tremendously for creating this course!
