Initially I was excited to use this app because I am in the middle of my training in Early Years and it is hard to find babysitting/nanny jobs in my area.
Once my account was accepted and I filled in all my details, I started looking for jobs and found many which suited me. All is good at this point.
Then, I try and CONTACT these parents - low and behold to find out I have to pay for Gold membership to do this. This app is super misleading - what’s the point of having the free version of all you can do is look on the profiles of parents or childminders, get your hopes up that you’ve found a good match and then find out you have to pay a lot of money in which people can’t afford.
App creators - please make messaging more accessible for all. I promise a lot more people would use the app and you can always get money from advertising instead.
I’m so disappointed with this app because I genuinely thought I had found a few jobs that I could have. Unfortunately as a student, I can’t afford to pay monthly membership on top of all my living bills. I will be deleting the app until I am able to message clients for free.

Thank you for your review. We were delighted to hear that you were excited about our app but were disappointed to read some of the claims you make. Free members can read and reply to messages that they receive. Free members can also initiate contact with paying members. As a free member it is possible find childcare jobs without paying anything and hundreds of thousands of childcare providers have done so. It would lovely to offer a completely free service but the costs of operating our platform amount to several millions of pounds per year and whilst your suggestion of selling advertising to fund our overheads is admirable, advertising revenue would only cover a tiny fraction of our operating costs and would lead to a much poorer customer experience. You are correct that a lot more people would use our app if it was completely free but that would be true of any business. A supermarket that didn't charge for any of its produce would also be significantly busier.
