3.0Not everyone has a telephone with an NFC reader. With the CheckID app from DigiD you can help someone add the ID check to his or her DigiD app. The app on your phone only performs the one-time check of the ID. Your own DigiD login details are not required for this. No data is stored on your phone. More information at: https://www.digid.nl/inlogmethods/id-check DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY With DigiD's CheckID app you can perform a one-off check of an identity document for someone else. The check is carried out by reading the chip on the Dutch driver's license or identity document using the NFC reader on your device. The CheckID app reads the document number, validity and date of birth of an identity card, or the driving license number of a driving license. This data is sent via a secure connection to the DigiD app for which the ID check is carried out. The CheckID app does not process any data from the device on which it is installed for this check. Additional terms: • The user is solely responsible for the security of his mobile device. • Updates for the CheckID app can be downloaded and installed automatically via the app store. These updates are intended to improve, expand or further develop the app and may include fixes for program errors, advanced features, new software modules or completely new versions. Without these updates, the app may not function or not function properly. • Logius reserves the right to (temporarily) stop offering the CheckID app in the app store or (temporarily) stop the operation of the app without giving reasons.
