cdsiPipe is a pipe and valve reference toolbox designed for process piping, HVAC and MEP professionals. The easy-to-navigate user interface allows users to quickly move through different information with ease, exploring the capacities, coatings, chemistry, finishes and physical dimensions, including working pressure, of steel pipe. The recently added valve section now allows users to identify pressure ratings of specific valves through a user-friendly interface as well. The picker wheel found within cdsiPipe’s Properties category, under Pipe, serves as the most in-depth tool available to quickly understand not only common attributes of steel pipe (OD,ID,weight) but also volume, wall thickness, weight with water and working pressure information. The drop down menus found within cdsiPipe’s Properties category, under Valves, allows users to access sketches that display different characteristics such as bolting information, maximum weight and all dimensions for specific valves. Each valve has it’s own photo gallery in which users can view the actual product in a high quality image. The different types of steel pipe, including ERW and seamless, are explained; as are the various end finishes along with their ANSI standard. The different types of valves, including Butterfly, Gate, Check, Globe and Ball are also explained in depth. Separate glossaries explaining the common terms and abbreviations used in the piping industry are included in the pipe and valve sections. Both categories include FAQ sections, which answer questions and dispel common misconceptions with concise information. This application covers pipe from ¼” through 36”, and schedules 10 through 160. Also valves ranging from ¼” up to 24”. ©2014 Morrissey + Camuso
