Cash Flow Forecasts: CashFlow+

I have a better handle on my cash flow and expenses after 1 night of setting it up than I’ve ever had. This just works - add/customize expense names, flexibility with dates for week/month/year/one time. I’m paid every two weeks and this made it easy to see where I was getting low, as well as the impact of service charges that just need to go! Update: even better on day 2. It’s easy to delete accounts from the list by swiping left and clicking delete - as i discovered from setting things up wrong. Now the savings line is going up! And boy have I been wasting money. Analyzing the past expenses to fine tune this process is next. Thanks CostLog!

Updated request: when in the “archive” view, it is inconvenient to scroll all the way to the bottom and see what transactions just processed (i.e. most recent). My request is that the archive transaction list runs in reverse order so that the most recent date is on top vs bottom. Maybe a “filter” option or setting? Also, I wish there was a setting to totally hide the graph. I don’t use it and all I’m looking for is to scroll down to dates in orange or red to show when my cash flow would go negative so I can course correct. Thanks again for an amazing app!! You have saved me countless hours in excel and lots of stress! :) This app is amazing! I’ve been looking for a straight up cash flow app forever. So many have tons of useless, cumbersome features. This is a huge win over the spreadsheet based system I had going. Only 2 requests: 1) please make it cloud based so that households can use and manage cashflow together, and 2) can vendors/payees pop back up when you enter them and spare you the retyping? I have a lot of “one time” payments like for a power bill which aren’t recurring and are for different amounts each month. BRAVO on an app that really delivers on its promise!

I have been using this app for several months. I updated and it wiped all my information. I re-entered everything and the iCloud sync takes forever to update. I have tried to update my starting balance several times before with no luck. Also, the archived transactions seem to be omitting the previous 3 days or more of information. My starting balance will be off from expected, I look in the history and the past several days of transactions are missing and don’t appear to be accounted for in the balance. This morning I looked at my starting balance and it was $3000 more than expected. I went to history and flipped back and it went up another $3000 on top of what was already there with no apparent explanation-making the forecasted balances essentially useless. Never had issues with glitches like this before the update. Hope it can get fixed quickly! I check this app pretty much every day to compare to my bank account and what has cleared that was due.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A long time ago I used an app that I think was just called Forecast to manage my money. It was just like this app, but it’s developer dropped it. This app is just like that one except this one looks better and has a better user experience. I use this app to avoid surprises and to be aware of my finances down to the day. This system helped me get out of debt and stay out of debt. Now I’m far from living paycheck to paycheck, and I continue to use it. I can plan vacations, Christmas spending, and any other expense knowing exactly what it will do to my budget. I highly recommend this app and using this method to always know where you stand and the exact impact of every financial decision you make.

The app crashes when trying to clear data to start fresh. So, I had to MANUALLY clear all my data - despite an option to clear all data because the app crashes everytime I try TJ clear all data. Then, after MANUALLY clearing the data, the emojis get replaced when adding more budgets. AND, it has difficulty adding new data after the above issues. There are clearly many bugs/issues to be worked out. Unfortunate, because it gave me what I was looking for: a way to visualize my financial forecast.
