I haven't used the app too much yet but I can see much resemblance between this and YikYak. However, the red notification icon isn't disappearing even after I check the app. It's a minor complaint but please check it out when possible.

The admin didn’t like some of my posts so they banned me with no warning and commented something like read the rules. I have read the rules and I didn’t break any of them. Maybe because I posted something similar three times within the past two days complaining about a problem I have counts as “spamming or offensive content” to you but how am I supposed to know that before you just go ahead and ban me. The posts were different enough that I never would have guessed that someone would consider that spamming and they definitely cannot be classified as offensive by any rational standard. I’ve seen spamming on other anonymous apps and it is way different from what I post. Apparently you just didn’t like me or what I talk about sometimes and decided to purge me from the feed. Not cool. I’ve always been courteous and friendly and an involved part of other online communities I’ve been a part of in the past. Looks like that won’t be the case with this one.

Anyone who’s doing a bad review is just pissy 🤦🏼‍♀️ it clearly states its terms and condition and Steph does a wonderful job managing the app as well as uses questions we can answer to earn a nice little gift card.. and yes this actually works. Steph is truly amazing and I never seen an admin this active and this involved with other users! 💜💜 do not knock this app till you try it! Although, nothing can ever replace yik yak, this app will also be someone any college student could use! Thank you Steph for all that you do for this app and for us users! Thank you for creating such a well put together app that I refuse to delete 😂👌🏻 -theironbutt

You can say whatever you want on Chit chat! until you say a “bad word” and then you get time out. Clearly, the Admins and creators are so pure they’ve never uttered a single profanity. Is the purpose of this app not to allow people to express their honest thoughts and opinions anonymously with out censorship? Isn’t that why the app is 17+??? Why bother making a 17+ anonymous yik yak and then punish users for profanity. But hey don’t worry! If you’re posting explicit sexual content or jokes or things of that nature you’re fine! And if you just misspell your profanity you will be fine. 🙃 Twitter allows basic free speech and that app isn’t even anonymous. Deleting the app and telling everyone I know the same thing.

It is clearly in its early stages and already taking off. In a year or so when it reaches its big break let’s see how popular this app gets! Glad to be an OG for chit chat.
