Brivo Mobile Pass

Our office just upgraded to Brivo from a system we installed only 2 years ago and it’s like we went from the 1980s to 2050! FINALLY, Brivo provides a system that met our goals for network security and physical access control. The mobile credential app working with the bluetooth readers is very convenient and adding the biometric feature (for no additional charge) was the icing on the cake. Thanks to our installation company for introducing us to Brivo and this product.

I ALWAYS lose my keys. When we moved to a new office, the key card was in the car when I was in the office or vice-versa. Finally, I had slipped it in my bra when I went shopping so I didn’t lose it and guess what? Only three weeks after the move. LOVE this app!!!

When the app works, it great. However, I always have issues with it at work. For the past 3 weeks it won’t open the front door to work, but it works on the secondary door 5 ft away from the front door? It also gives me problems throughout the building and doors have just disappeared from being able to use yet they were originally there?! Just seems like a lot of random issues.

Half-baked gratuitous technology with UX that ranges from mildly inconvenient to “I’m standing in the rain on a cold dark night and can’t open the door”. If you are trying to improve on a simple key or keycard the BASIC requirement should be matching the simplicity and reliability of a key. Then you need to actually IMPROVE something. This app fails on both accounts. It’s sluggish, the interaction design is third rate, it just plain fails to work sometimes and requires force quitting the app. I would delete this app in a second if the building manager hadn’t chosen to make everyone use it.

I don’t know if your engineers know this, but Apple has a developer program where you can get beta versions of the new OS MONTHS in advance of its release to the public. Might I suggest using this beta software to test your app so it works when all my employees update their phones. Just bought this system in July and I’m sick to my stomach about the money we wasted. Please get this issue fixed ASAP or STOP advertising your mobile app as a feature. iOS users adopt the latest OS very quickly. This should not have come as a surprise.
