This app displays and monitors the current bitcoin (BTC) exchange rates. Alerts are sent as free push notifications directly to your phone. Bitcoin Ticker can display the BTC price for most currencies. Go to settings to edit default currencies and exchanges. Keep in mind that push notifications are not always delivered to the phone (e.g. if your phone is out of coverage), so it's a good idea to check the ticker once in a while as well.
