Back to Five Stars. The developer responded to my post and cleared up my issue (user error). Disregard the following paragraph (the remaining review still holds true). I removed a star as there is one great feature from BM3 that is not available in the new version: The ability to adjust the current bill amount. In BM3 you had the option to edit the bill (for the current amount) or account (for all upcoming payments). I used that option to update the bill once I knew the amount. Since I typically get the bill two weeks in advance I could plan accordingly by adjusting the amount due for the given month. Please restore this feature. Even though the developer left us high and dry for months, I am extremely thankful that the app was not totally abandoned. Let’s face it, BillMinder is THE BEST bill reminder app available. Nothing else compares. When my emails went unanswered, I was forced to find another app. I went through several alternative apps which never quite cut the mustard. Then I saw BillMinder 4 in the store and didn’t hesitate buying it. Sure, there are some changes and improvements and I can deal with them. The core functionality is still there and that is why it is the best app. I only hope the developer stays with us for the long haul this time.

I used the old version and it's phenomenal, especially with the phone & website features. The bill minder 4 is missing the website feature and other things. That's my reason for the 4 stars. How about adding a search bar, that can aid in finding a bill faster. I PREFER THE OLDER VERSION. **I discovered that when you purchased and download "bill minder 4" and sign-in with the same email and password, the new features sync onto the old app, upgrading it as well. So all the features on the older version you enjoyed, will also remain. For example, I can now enjoy the website that the new version had missed. Now I have 2 BillMinder apps that are identical in everything. What a waste of money. ****So, actually, they could have just upgraded the older version without having to purchased the new one. So, don't delete your old BillMinder, it will also upgrade. *****I'm wondering if I can delete bill minder 4, since I have all the upgrades on the old app? I can always retrieved it in the App Store under purchase, just in case an issue occurs. *****Overall its the best BillMinder app so far. No other app of this nature can compare. Hope next upgrade the developer take into consideration, the needs of his customers.

Because the original app was not updated for almost a year and then ceased to even function is very very upsetting. I was one of the original beta testers and loved the app only to be left behind with NO warnings or notices, just left hanging. Was then forced to take another route and chose "Mint" app which works but is annoying and could never replace the original Billminder. NOW, out comes "4" and all the faithful are required to buy it again and THIS is why you get 3 stars!!! The faithful should have only had to pay $2 for an upgrade and not get hosed. I will be attacking this app with the same vigor as I did the original and the stars will either go up or down pending my usage and Beta experience! This was not a cool idea toward your faithful customers of years past!!! Gary

The snapshot is great, but it really doesn’t do anything your phone calendar can’t do. There’s two issues I see. If you pay a partial payment on a recurring bill, for that month it shows the remainder but doesn’t add it to the next month, so your monthly total is not correct. The other issue is when I toggled on the feature to adjust due dates that fall on weekends, it took out ALL of my due dates- it didn’t adjust them, it deleted them! I had to go back in and redo all of the due dates. It was really frustrating, and now I have to manually go in and readjust due dates every month. I don’t think this app was worth the price tag seeing as it’s not really doing what’s promised, and it doesn’t give you a clear picture. For this, I could have used the free built in calendar on my phone. I also don’t like how you can’t add income. This app would be perfect if you could add income and it would show you daily what your balance would be should you pay bills on their due dates, like a running balance.

It would have been wonderful since you have all our email addresses if you could have sent out an email about this version being released. Most other devs with an app of this caliber do that, and would have been great to keep customers in the know. We are the paycheck, after all. I’ve read through many reviews, lots of complaints but my first impression is decent. The app works, and it synced my data with little issue. I hope it can return to its former glory in time. I’m really missing the “swipe to pay” feature to swipe to the right on a bill and be given an option to mark it as paid without going into the bill pay screen. Good for starters at least I can delete Mint now. Almost didn’t upgrade iOS to keep this app, glad it’s back!
