Bikesales

Thank you for changing the app back to the previous search function. So much more intuitive than the new version. It’s ironic that the developer’s response was so detailed in how users now needed to use the new version. Rather than consider how users actually make their way through the site. Good outcome.

Bike sales itself is a great website, which is very well organised, user friendly and makes buying and selling bikes easy and safe. The app, however, is pretty terrible. There is no option to view your ads once they are up, you can only edit them. So if you want to quickly go to your ads and grab the link for someone, that won’t work. You have to find the bike manually and send them that link. Also, when trying to edit an ad it will redirect you out of the app and into your browser, where you will have to log in again if you haven’t already. By all means, use bike sales, it’s probably the best option, but do it on your computer, the mobile app needs work.

I’ve been using bikesales for many years as I’ve bought and sold quite a few bikes. Selling is easy as the security has improved and when looking to buy it’s perfect being able to customise the search so you only see the bike/s you are interested in.

The app is good and functions well however there are some things that could use improvement. While you can search bikes in different categories from male to year, whenever you save an ad they are all jumbled up together. It’d be handy if you’re saves could be separated in different folders or categories. This would greatly improve the usability of the app.

Now this is an app that just works - everything you need to see when looking for bikes and nothing you don’t. I like the messaging/ call functions and the filters/ search saves are well resolved. Another highlight is the ‘ how far from me?’ mapping tool. Not too many adds either for a free app - please keep it this way ok? GW - Sydney
