I liked the concept of quite an atmospheric game and the door puzzles were novel for a bit but all in all I found the movements frustrating, the music repetitive and the objective of the story went over my head. I think I understand it, but it’s a so uninteresting that I’m doubting myself.

The ghost kept pointing forward so I followed and after about a minute of running in one direction I realised something wasn’t working as is should be. This happened after the first door puzzle. Controls are not clear and I found my thumb covering up importing things often. Side note: I can respect indie devs doing their thing. It’s not easy. But directly ripping the mechanic and style of Firewatch’s intro made me sceptical from the start.

This is a weird game that could only have come from the Far-east. It's almost impossible to describe, except to say you seem to inhabit the spirit of a young man lost in a luminous forest, with a floating ghost-lady as your guide. It all seems good, until you encounter the "puzzles", which do not require any thought, but are simply exercises in trial and error. Like, you have to progress through the doors, but literally the only way to do so is to try every possible combination of door entry across the spectrum of six ranges of five doors with which you're presented. This does not make for an edifying experience. Things to admire? The soundtrack is superb. Things to not admire? Everything else is bad.

The graphics and art work are beautiful and the puzzles are excellent and good at getting your brain thinking. Unfortunately I completed it in under 2 hours, not sure that’s worth the price paid. It’s disappointing to complete it in such a short time. Interesting story.

Expensive for the length, you can probably finish it in 20-25 minutes. Bought on the strength of it being a featured app but the puzzles are incredibly simple, only made challenging by the poor controls. Moving your character is pretty rubbish and you’ll frequently find yourself stuck on the doors used in puzzles.
