Basement Defender

Instead of putting a drain threshold on the outside of my basement door Perma seal put it inside when we got severe rain the water leaked under the door and around the drain threshold that was inside the basement Defender alerted me that there was a high amount of humidity in my basement suggesting water might be coming in my basement when I seen this I immediately checked it and stop the water from coming in with sandbags after calling Perma seal and telling them of this problem they relocated the drain threshold to the outside no more problems the BasementDefender made this problem way less of a problem by notifying me through my telephone also if you have any problems the people at BasementDefender are there to help you their IT team rocks!

Downloaded app and didn’t have the option that allowed you to pair your device to the defender system. Spent over 2 hours waiting for help and still no solution. Not feeling good about day one service. The other app also had a “glitch” and app would close when I got to the router step. Updated review: I was able to get the basement defender technician to sort out the problems with the incorrect alerts. They were very responsive to my concerns. I now enjoy being able to track my sump pumps. I still think the app needs to be compatible with more phones and if not that needs to be disclosed up front. This app does not work the same on iPhone 7 as it does the iPhone 8 even with the same iOS update.

Basement Defender Tech Support was extremely helpful in setting up the app. Xfinity was not able to give us a stronger signal. When I called Basement Defender, a tech man came to our home that day and set up a stronger WiFi signal so the app would work. He accomplished this in 20 minutes. Well done!

If the sump pump fails, water in my basement will follow quickly. With basement defender, I can address the issue before a real problem develops. Their support technicians are always available to answer questions that arise.

I am so pleased with all the support setting up my basement defender and feel at ease knowing we have it in place. Thank you
