My friends and I have been trying to find a way to work together long distance (thanks moving and covid). This app has given me renewed hope! It’s so easy to get started. As another user mentioned, the verification was a tiny bit annoying, but after that it’s simple and elegant. It feels exactly like a voice memo. Importing - super simple. Tap a track and access your iCloud Drive. Exporting - two options: single audio file, or multiple tracks. I haven’t actually tried to export yet, but I’m stoked see the multi-track export feature. Collaboration - also simple! Easy to invite friends through the app. Messaging to communicate about a project. NOTE: as of this writing, whenever I send a message it shows up twice for me. My friends only see it once, so I’m wondering if it is “sending” to me too (so the log has both my ‘sent’ and ‘received’ messages). The app seems great for writing songs together quickly. Feels less formal than using a DAW, so it seems more like a jam where you can just experiment with ideas. The ideas are saved, so they can be recorded using a DAW later... or if it’s a good take it can be exported for processing. Overall... I’m extremely happy!

So far so good the verifying was a little annoying to start a shared session but it works very similar to voice memo which helps for those accustom to quick recording concepts on there. Interface for editing could be way better and have a lot more functions but for the most part I feel that might just complicate things. As is I’m very pleased especially @ free 99 price point and it is easy enough to use where I can force my non tech savvy musician friends to use it and create long distance concept projects together ( definitely not a finalization app but with the ability to import and export it is a pretty powerful app to say the least ) plus none of the social media connectivity garbage attached because it’s just a real phone multi track session tool.

I’ll check back in, if this is stable and nothing goes missing this app is going to be pretty great. :) Update: after using it for a week in a songwriting festival on three co-writes, everything has been stable. The only issue I see so far is the note pad or where you would work on lyrics together is displaying a bunch of weird symbols that kinda look like HTML. Makes it very hard to co-write lyrics... just small dev stuff to coders but big problem for users. Hoping they fix in next update as it looks like it was missed in the most recent one.

As in the title, the one thing i find wrong with this is that it crashes/kicks me out of the app when im in the middle of recording or even just trying to listen to it. Also the rate pop up annoys me to no end when im just trying to do the thing and it makes me tap stop recording way later than i want it to be, so ok two problems. Still a great app, just a few annoyances that i hate to deal with

I have a project I’ve put a good amount of time into, but I can’t get it off the app to send or upload it. When I tap the export button, both export options (as single audio file, and individual tracks) cause the app to pause and crash. I’ve updated my iOS and made sure all permissions were on, but still no luck. I thought maybe I could retrieve it online, since the app made me upload my projects once it made me create an account, but email verification is not working. When I try to verify, I simply get a dialog that says “generic error.” Next time I’ll just use audacity on my pc.
