Ask a Doctor

I didn't use my free question due to having lab results questions. It was great that I could upload my actual lab report (have to pay to upload). It took awhile for a Dr to respond each question, but when they did I got a good thorough explanation. I think this app could be better if you could pick your Dr or allow more than one Dr to respond. I did try another app similar to this one but was not satisfied. The other app you get more questions for free, Dr is quick to respond, but wasn't very thorough. You also could upload anything or take pics of anything. I would use this app again for non emergency and for something that doesn't need quick advice.

Very disappointed and displeased with this service! First they lead you on with no mention of cost. Then after you've invested time and energy into your profile and question, and after you've given up your contact info, your hit with charges. They should be up front about its cost and not lead you into a trap! Then the process was NOT a simple 3step as described. Then you have to download an app which has nothing to do with getting your answers and nothing tells you where to get them. I had to scour the net the first time just to get in contact with someone. Then I wasn't given a password and subsequent emails would "bounce back" ? Then after SEVERAL HOURS and finally getting to my account, the diagnosis was blunt, short, without thought and inaccurate! Follow up questions not answered! They claim you get two follow up questions but they just may or may not answer. It could be a problem with a specific Doctor but they don't give you options to seek advice from someone else. Very poor site and functionality. A refund is in order.... As difficult as it was to sign in, I'm sure it's ten times harder to get my $18 refund...spare yourself the time and energy DONT waste your time here! Just google search you medical questions and get your free answers there.

Everything about the mechanics and design of this app are designed to take your money in the simplest way possible with little strings attached. The quality of the doctors help and advice can be good but they often waste the follow up questions you pay for by asking stupid questions and even if you are excessively and overly thorough and descriptive, ask "are there any other specific symptoms." and after you reply with an immediate "no," they don't respond for another 5-6 hours. For those turning to this app when scared and ill, the quality of the advice can be good if you're prepared to wait many many many hours between responses. Also customer service responds within two days so no help there. If you do decide to use this, get the unlimited and cancel it after asking different doctors until you get a relevant or well formulate response. Don't expect any sense of urgency or care.

Came across this app while researching a health concern my husband was having and have found it to be one of the best apps yet! It's great if concerned about a medical issue and are unable or simply don't know if the situ warrants seeing a doctor or even urgent care. The doctors have always been extremely helpful and very considerate of my concerns. I highly recommend this app whether you're simply looking for a quick answer to a questionable health concern or are one of those anxious worriers who just need some peace of mind at times!! You will always be satisfied with the result!!

I wanted this app to ask 1 question and I immediately deleted and tried to cancel the subscription after I got my answer. Since, I’ve been charged 3 additional times because there is no option to cancel it within the app. I called the number on my statement and can’t get in contact with anyone, and I’ve emailed them multiple times with no response. I just really want to stop the subscription and I honestly want a refund for the multiple months I’ve tried to cancel to no avail due to their unavailability. As far as the answer itself, I’m an RN and I honestly didn’t receive any pivotal information outside of what I already knew. It may be beneficial for those who don’t work in the medical field or don’t have a decent foundation in health, but not me.
