1) badge icon notifications never accurate 2) list of notifications hard to read and not always in order 3) pics are not scaleable and cannot be downloaded or saved from app 4) overall clunky interface 5) has potential but could be so much more with a little interest from the company...so far don’t see much support

We have been using the app for a little over two months now and have had great success with it and the Ascent X2 unit. Summit Controls has been very helpful in everything and very responsive to questions. I know some have mentioned that you have to log in every time you open the app, which isn’t true. I am the admin on the unit and there are settings that you can change in order for it to never log you out as well as numerous other settings that can improve the user experience. I reached out to Summit Controls about a week or so ago about a suggestion about having the ability to receive the picture via text or app to whoever is receiving the call and they informed me that their developers are currently in the process of implementing that. As an admin you have to log on via a website to change settings but the website is user friendly and makes it easy to change. I do all on my phone. If you receive a call on your phone there is no need to open the app if you know who it is, while on the call all you have to do is hit 1 on the keypad and it will open the gate. Once you have the ability to receive pictures via text to the individual that’s number has been dialed this app is 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion. I have had a lot of luck with Summit Controls so if you are having issues make sure to call them or put a support ticket in.

We have used this app for our business for 3 years. They never told us that when the cell phone provider upgraded their system it would render the system useless. We reluctantly paid a $1400 upgrade to enable all 172 users access to the gate again. That was within the last 6 months. The gate is inoperable again. The new parts were supposed to be here Tuesday of this week - it’s Saturday - still no parts. We are hiring an attorney now to recoup our entire investment in this unreliable product. We regret not fully understanding the poor product we were sold in the beginning. If anyone uses this it should only be a residence who keeps a remote opener In their car for WHEN not if it malfunctions. The employees of this business could not care less if you’re satisfied. Very poor business practices. I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

The company seems like a good one but they don’t seem to be actively involved in updating much of anything. When you contact support sometimes you get a recommendation sometimes it’s “sorry we don’t offer that and have no idea if we ever will”. For instance the picture quality on the keypad is horrible and you can save, zoom or manipulate the photo in anyway. Created a support ticket and this was one of the “not at this time” responses. The native notifications work sometimes then simply stop. The app or web hasn’t improved in a long, long time. As a customer I like the keypad, it’s innovative and operates well. The support people are genuinely nice people. I just get concerned for the future of the company. If they aren’t improving their tech for this long that usually means they are going to disappear.

Can you please update the app where there is a stay logged in option/remember me??? Or a fingerprint option? I’m so tired of having to keep logging in every time I need to open the gate. Which is often since we use this app for our gate at work. Other then that it’s a good app just wish it would stay logged in.
