Argos

Five stars, just the app update notes alone! It’s refreshing to see a few developers that still care and don’t just copy/paste a generic and meaningless placeholder text as “update note”. Seriously though, Argos app used to be a mess. But over the past few years, it’s become better and better. One thing that I would love to see added in the future: Wishlist sync between different devices via iCloud, and without the need to log into Argos account. I mostly browse using iPad, add items to my wishlist without logging in, then go to the store to buy them. Would be great if the items I’ve picked on iPad synced on my iPhone.

For a company with such potential, they let the guy with the talent write the app updates! Why not let them loose on an Instagram account - oh no that’s locked?! Facebook Page - nope?! - are they connected to the app - nope?! Does it allow notifications - ummm nope?! but it does have it AR - ummm yes? As for the app, forget the AR, build a consistent experience for your customers before doing shiny stuff and whizz bang type stuff. How can the Argos Card be so good and this so bad. Overall, I sincerely hope the Sainsbury’s investment starts to make Argos a consistent brand because at the moment it’s so busy looking at the smaller details it’s getting left behind on the bigger picture - in quick changing times this app needs a good working over before going Oooooh!! about AR.

The app I believe miss leads you. I added 11 items into my bag and continued to check out. When I put through my payment the screen said error: invalid session ID. I automatically thought that my payment never went trough so I came out of check out and saw that my items are still in the bag. I used a gift card also my Argos store card to make the payment. I went into My Argos Card application and saw that the money was actually taken out the account which was extremely frustrating. When I called customer services the lady informed me that the money was taken but the order was not processed and then refunded me. Be careful when placing an order to make sure money is not taken when your order is not processed. If I was to leave the order to another time to complete god knows how much interest I was going to be charged by the time I realised what happened.

I have bought many items over the last month and all but one item they had in stock. The Argos App is really easy to use and the best bit is you can get your orders on the same day which is cheaper than a bus fair into town. The people that deliver the orders have always been very polite, professional and friendly. They have never been late. Fast track is a great system to use and would highly recommend giving it a go at least. One suggestion would be to have an Argos loyalty card like they do in most gig show now ( just a thought). Keep up the good work!!!😃👍👍

Does what you need and it very good at what it needs to do Yes the stock function is not as great as I could be. I would like to know if the items are in stock before I select them. Only finding out when you made you mind up from the list the sometimes long list only to find out it not in stock of your favourite store or any local one. Then it does not say where if at all it is in stock. Why can’t the app just show a number of the item the are available in all the stores. Then a click on the number to take you to a list in volume order as to where it can be got. Or if it is in stock at all and is still coming and just not delivered to any yet. Stock levels are not the fault of the app so that why I still say it 5 star one. Never used the normal web page one in a long time so I don’t know if this handles it better but I do remember the store map and availability was over a larger area.
