Amex India

My earlier feedback about app not working on 13.3. I have solve the problem by uninstalling & reinstalling the app !!! However, I am not sure why it happened, happy to see that it is working now😀 I regularly update the iOS and app versions when they arrive. And so recently, I have updated iOS 13.3. For some reason and from my observation the Amex app doesn’t stay online, it just closes once I open the app after OS upgrade. Not sure whether it is known bug, need to check & fix if any such issues. Now, I can’t use the app. Please do the needful.

I’ve been using their credit card for almost 7 years now and they have come a long way since they started offering credit cards India. Their business practices are ethical and professional. No nonsense and always available for help. Back end people are highly polished and professional in responding to queries and extremely polite. Perhaps the best credit card services being offered in India so far. Excellent rewards program and referral benefits. Good luck!

AMEX claims to be one of the best in the industry but seems it is not true, they are among the worst. Recently exploring a booking on a travel portal and found card is registered on the app of travel portal. Just to check the security of card processed the transaction with wrong CVV and to my surprise transaction gone through. I have contacted AMEX multiple times and executive keep assuring transaction is not valid as CVV is wrong but surprisingly found charges initiated against the transaction. I have the raise the concern again with CC team and found AMEX doesn’t validate the CVV or anything other than Card number and Expiry date. Executive tells to contact seller as it is up to seller. Please don’t use AMEX cards, it is not safe at all and AMEX expect customer to know the details which their own executives don’t know.

Amex financial charges are very high around 3.5% plus GST. Minimum payment is also high but the best part is that if you don’t pay full outstanding amount they will charge 3.5% on total outstanding and not on reduced amount. For example: bill outstanding INR 5 lakhs and minimum payment paid INR 2 lakhs so they have to charge financial charges on balance 3 lakhs but they charge on total 5 lakhs. They claim it is as per their company policy but can’t do anything about it. They have to reasonable and charge on the balance amount.

Have been raising this concern over Last two years but no one is bothered & standard answer is Sir we are on the job and situation will be better in 2-3 months, come on Guys stop fooling customers & make your services better by doing your job & simplify things for your customers by reducing 6 transactions back to 4 for bonus points. There is no point in increasing the swipes if it is not even accepted at over 50% places I transact at. I am watching services for some more time before I and my friends opt out of Amex card.
