ACN/PCN Calculator

ACN/PCN Calculator is designed for Pilots, Flight Operations Engineers, Dispatchers, Airport Operators, and others to help them verify the pavements bearing strength limitation for both flexible and rigid pavements. The methodology used by the App is based on the ICAO ACN/PCN method as published in ICAO Annex 14 and Document 9157 Part 3. The ACN determination using the curves and tables presently publish by the manufacturer may be fastidious and leading to errors. This App was designed to help the users to easily and accurately assess the bearing strength of an airport pavement, such as runways, taxiways, Aprons…etc., and determine the maximum allowable aircraft weight for safe operations. The Aircraft database used by the ACN/PCN Calculator was developed mainly from the Manufacturers published data, mainly the Aircraft Characteristics for Airport Planning (ACAP) manuals, in order to ensure the most accurate weight limitation determination. However, when a manufacturer doesn’t publish the ACN data, the best available data for that aircraft are used or generated using the ICAO methods normally used for this purpose.
