ABC Solitaire

We discovered ABC Solitaire last fall and is the only game that we play every single day. It seems we are easily bored with game apps on the iPad because we play them for awhile but will then lose interest relatively quickly. Not so with ABC Solitaire. In fact, after a few months I insisted my husband load it on his own iPad because every time I set my iPad down, it was immediately in his hands and he was playing it — and that's saying a lot because he's an anti-game person. It's literally the only game he plays. ABC Solitaire remains challenging because no two games are ever the same and it is irritatingly addicting! With a few minor tweaks I would easily rate this a five-star game. It's frustrating that the game clock doesn't pause if you have to step away from a game in progress, there are far too many buttons to press to continue a game once paused, and it's exceedingly frustrating when you have bonus hints stored and they get taken away from you when the game is inactive for any more than a short time. It seems like these would be easy fixes. The game's developer told me the clock did not stop to thwart fraud on the leader board. Perhaps I don't know the nuances of cheating, but I can't see how the constantly-ticking time clock foils cheaters. I have yet to find another game app that comes anywhere even close to the addiction level of this game. It's mentally challenging and wholly engaging.

It's fun when it works

At first I really didn't like this game! As others have said, the instructions are not clear and I felt like I would never get it. This game does allow you to use a different part of your brain to solve each puzzle, and as I win more I feel like I'm gaining brain power. Pause button would be nice. Also, I thought for a while that when I pressed "end" and saw the Please Try Again tiles lit up, that there was a way to keep playing by going after those tiles...please, make directions clearer!

I bought this game out of curiosity,and now I play it every chance I get to keep my mind engaged while I kick back. It can be played on many levels, a sophisticated version of find and create matches without too much thought or strategy, I still find that engaging; very rarely win. And can be played more like the levels of strategy in FreeCell. My guess is that if you like FreeCell, you will also like this game. Updates have really helped. Very difficult to describe, but this game lets you choose your own level of difficulty by letting your mind decide how "calculating" you feel like being. I like the 2 available hints and 2 undos. I would like to replay the same game, maybe next update. Would really like to know of more games by same creators.

This game is relaxing and exciting all in one. This is the only game I want to play... ever! I'm so addicted to it. I have to play it to relax and whine down every night, and once I start playing, I can't seem to stop playing and go to bed. I know I have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work, and I still have to play one more game. Then one soon becomes two, then three, and before you know it, half the night is gone. Ok enough about how good the game is... I've got to get another game in. Enjoy!
