A Better Routeplanner (ABRP)

This app is so useful for anyone with an EV who ever makes trips that require charging away from home on public chargers. Makes it so simple to plan a trip. Knows your car and how efficient it is. It knows the terrain and how it will affect your consumption. It knows how weather and temperature affect it. And it puts it all together to tell you when and where to charge. You can then fine tune the plan yourself if you want to. Either choose a different charger because you want to stop earlier, or maybe tell it to ignore a charger because you know it won’t work with your car or its next to your ex-wife’s house! And then, once you’ve made your plan, set it to “drive” mode and it will keep you updated with where you are and what your SOC is. On some cars it can even monitor the car’s systems and adjust itself to your driving style (not my car sadly). But any time you go off route it will automatically recalculate. This app is genius and for my car at least it is so accurate I have started trusting it implicitly. Drive an EV? Get this!

Wow! Everything you need for EV route planning. I rarely write reviews but the company that built this app deserve a medal. It makes planning long work journeys fun and takes all the stress out of it.

1 star given as to have an app that actually connects to the server is a great benefit over the web based application 4 stars subtracted as the app has non of the functionality that actually made ABRP worth while I am used to connecting LeafSpy and having a display in car of my current percentage the estimate on arrival and the elevation along with on the go replanning All I see now is a map of my route and whilst I am driving my battery percentage and distance and time to destination. No benefit to using at all I used for the benefit of the on the go re planning. As I said though unless I am missing this functionality completely somewhere Please let me know

This app has bucket loads of potential. At the moment though on my 11 pro it’s really laggy and makes the phone run so hot. There are some serious kinks that need ironing out before it’s really useable. Once those are sorted sure fire 5 star app though.

I’ve been using the web version for 2 years and it’s been amazing. To now have it as an app is even better!
