7 Minute Chi - Meditate & Move

I so appreciate coming across this Tai Chi app. I had cervical disc fusion surgery and suffer from fibromyalgia and daily chronic pain. I miss being able to participate in martial arts or even go on extended walks. The app has been extremely easy to follow and there is music and a voice over you can mute if you want helps guide your breath. The 7 minutes is a length that makes someone in my physical condition feel like they've accomplished something. When I am finished with "relax" I feel centered, peaceful and my joints and muscles feel massaged. Learning how to breath slowly focused with physical movement helps me deal with pain a bit better. A highlight is every time I use the 7min Chi my cats loves to lay at my feet which makes it a little difficult to move but is pretty adorable! So I give the app 5 stars and hope there will be more offerings.

Trying to work a full hour - or even a 30 min session - of meditation or Tai Chi into my busy schedule can be difficult. So sadly, I ended up just not doing it all. These seven minute sessions are a great solution, can be done just about anywhere, and have enabled me to start a daily routine I can stick with... and yet not feel so bad if I have to skip one now and then. I have a time planned for each of the three sessions: Morning - Awake; Afternoon - Relax; Evening - Sleep Well. (The first session, Relax, is free. The other two are $2 each, which I felt was reasonable.) The movements in each session are easy to learn and can be used in other Tai Chi settings, at a group class, for example. My only recommendation to the developers: allow for three reminder settings - one for each different session - instead of just one.

I’m sure everyone has been stressed out and tense over the current state of the world. Some are essential workers that still had to work. Others lost their job, income, sense of self etc.... it’s crazy times right now. On top of all this I suffer from degenerative disk disease in my lower back, pinched nerves and general aches and pains. I’m so relieved (mentally & physically) I came across this app. While I was doing a session I felt the tension in my shoulders leave my body . I feel completely relaxed and ready for bed. The voiceover is so relaxing and pleasant, the demonstration is beautifully done.

First time I have ever done this form of exercise. I loved it! It felt so very good. The breathing technique along with stretching is awesome! I have exercised all my life, so I’m no stranger to movement, but this form of exercise is different than just stretching and cardio. I am recovering from a back injury and this felt so good! No pain during the movements and I could do each one without the “catching” I feel during so many other exercises. Highly recommend. I feel relaxed and able to move after one session!

Soothing, clear and clean app: an excellent way to relax and improve breathing and movement. I used the free 7 minute section for over a month and then purchased the other two sections; at only $1.99 per section, I thought it was a very reasonable price for the quality of the app. One very minor complaint: the figure of Master Li is quite a bit smaller in the two new sections that I purchased. It would be nicer to have the figure be larger so one could see all the details more clearly.
