Dark Echo

Get rid of the white and red flashing screens!! Completely ruins the experience esp when in a tricky spot where you die several times before getting it. Otherwise maybe some type of help/hint (after dying a certain number of times in the same place for ex) would be nice and avoid some frustration. Also I had no idea it was a horror game before buying it, so be advised it is. I like horror games so I'm lucky in that regard but I wasnt prepared ^^

Dark Echo is a tense, tedious game. It relies on your imagination to develop a story, which isn't a bad thing. Spacing the introduction to new mechanics would have made the game feel fresh but it's just enough to keep me engaged. I absolutely love -Spoilers ahead- the second half of the game! With the enemies quicker than you, it makes the game feel much more strategic and honestly, scary at times. I would definitely spend more money on more levels with new things to discover :)

If you want a simple scary yet pretty game,this one is for you. Walking in the dark, you can only see the echos of your foot and the nightmares that are coming. But do take a break after the 30th level, as you might soon be somewhat frustrated at the simple game control and levels that requires a lot of patience. A tap too fast or too slow could mean failing to throw a rock or walking into the nightmare. For the developer, maybe give us separate buttons for echos action as an option.

Initially it was interesting enough. But as the game progressed I felt like something new should happen, or at least more challenging levels. There should have been a storyline too. That took away one star. But brilliant concept.
