Color Gear is a handy tool that helps to create harmonious color swatches. To find the right color combination, designers and artists use color theory and the basis of it: color wheel and harmonies. You don't need to be a color expert in order to use this app – Color Gear is a user friendly application suitable for beginners and pro. Perfect app for understanding color theory and daily working with color and palettes. Works offline. Use color wheel that suits your needs Our app supports two color models — Full Color Wheel (RGB model) and Basic Color Wheel or Itten’s circle (RYB model). For both RGB and traditional color wheel you can apply one of the 13 color harmonies. Build color palettes based on the added color code Just type in the color name (HEX code) and discover different color harmonies matching this particular color. Ability to extract color palette from uploaded images Select the desired picture from your phone and application's algorithms will automatically extract the color palette from the image. If needed colors or shades are not picked up by the automatic function you can manually select (pick) specific colors from the photo with the Color Picker tool. Then you can Select desired colors and save the palette or Copy a particular color code (HEX code) under color swatch to the clipboard and Paste it in the first Tab (RGB Color Wheel). In this case you will discover different color harmonies matching your particular color from the image. Use color editing tool It is very important to balance the quantitative ratio of color in order to make your palette look harmonious in practice. The application has a convenient function to quickly swap colors in the images. There are 3 pictures and gradient in the palette editing carousel. You can see how the selected colors look in different ratios. By clicking on the particular color swatch you can easily edit the color. Easy to manage and share Also you will be able to save, export and remove palettes. To share the desired palette just choose mode — text HEX codes or image. You can always copy a particular color code under color swatch to the clipboard. Six color formats available in palette info (RGB, HEX, LAB, HSV, HSL, CMYK). Two color circles – RGB and RYB, variety of color harmonies, option to input a color code manually, ability to get a color palette from an image or photo and manual Color picker tool (color selector).
